Dino Verginella, Bass Guitar
A very unique and creative bassist, Dino has played gigs as far afield as Hong Kong and as close to home as the Brantford Community Orchestra. He is comfortable playing both stand up bass and electric basses and has worked with many artists including Chantal Kreviazuk, Holly MacNarland and Jim Witter. Dino also composes his own music.
Chris Lamont, Drums
Originally from Dundas Ontario, Chris has been working as a full time drummer for many years, from tours accross Canada and Europe, to local gigs in the Toronto area. An incredibly versatile and talented drummer, he has worked with artists in rock, folk, pop, classical percussion, trip hop, jazz, swing and big band. Credits include albums/shows with Ellen Reid, Wild Strawberries, Tyler Yarema and Greg Bush. Ken Baird, Keyboards/Vocals
Also from Dundas Ontario, Ken has worked as a composer/keyboardist/vocalist and producer of albums; The band Perpetual Angelus’ 1994 release “Echoes from the Sylvan Door” was released on cassette, and Ken’s solo albums on CD: “August” (1996), “Fields” (1998), “Orion” (2000), “Martin Road” (2003) and “Further Out” (2009). He has also played and recorded keyboards for many artists in the past such as Jacob Moon and most recently, Art Griffin. John plays electric guitar on the majority of the “Skye” album and does a fantastic job, which is remarkable considering his career in music has mostly been as a bassist and lead singer. John is well known in Hamilton/Ancaster as being one of the best vocalists in town, in both musical theatre and with his former bands Dragonfly and Volume Water. Hailing from Grimsby Ontario, Kelly has worked extensively as a lead guitarist on countless sessions, and wherever he goes, his talent is noticed! His expert playing will be featured on upcoming albums for Steve Negus (on which he plays a central role) and Art Griffin. Steve Cochrane, Classical and 12 string guitar on Sky Above the Sun and acoustic guitar on “Sand” (the song)
Born in Nova Scotia and currently residing in Hamilton Ontario, Steve has produced five solo albums over the years: Heroes Awaken (1991), To See it Made Real (1995), The Purest of Designs (1998), With or Without (2007), and La La La: Variations on a Happy Song (2012). The first two albums were mainly electronic while more recent albums feature guitars, keyboards, drums, bass and vocals. Although also a very competent electric player, Steve’s music always features healthy doses of acoustic guitars and his classical work on “Sky Above the Sun” speaks for itself.
